To alter a computer running Windows Vista to work with Opticabase

1. Click on “Start” and then Control Panel, and type in "UAC" into the search box. You'll see a link for "Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off": Click on that link (see figure below).

   
2. On the next screen you should uncheck the box for "Use User Account Control (UAC)", and then click on the OK button.
3. You will then need to restart your computer.
4. NEVER turn UAC back on without speaking to us first while you are still using Opticabase.
